This news story was first broadcast on December 9, 2009 on FOX Chicago News.  There were many individuals who told me not to talk about what happen or about my mental illness.  It is that same silence that is taking the lives of so many First Responders.

Spectrum News Original "Wisconsin Under the Gun" focuses on firearms as the prevalent means in suicide.  My wife Jenny and I were honored to be part of this project to continue the conversation surrounding law enforcement suicide.  Asking for help is a sign of courage!

The "Saved from Suicide" video was produced for

St. Petersburg College Center for Public Safety Innovation under a grant from the Department of Justice.  It is being used in Law Enforcement training and includes interviews of my wife Jenny and my former Police Chief, Ray McGury.  Both were instrumental in saving my life.
